    We were passing through the quaint little town of Mont Dore looking for a place to eat till we came across Auberge des Skieurs. The restaurant was petite. Lots of special dishes from the region however my local colleagues coerced me to having a healthy serving of truffade, salad and cured ham. To do to use this culinary adventure was copious amounts of wine to wash it down. Quite the meal for lunchtime however I've learned the French typically eat their biggest meal of the day at lunch. Not sure how they stay awake for those 2pm after lunch PowerPoint presentations however that's discussion for another day. Back to the food the truffade was creamy delicious however the service was very slow. This could have been that our group of 16 people took over the restaurant and overwhelmed them. One of my colleagues ordered a steak and it must have been served 20 min after our big group was served. This came with a  (je mexcuse. Le chef et Juste a preparer cuisson votre assiessette). Overall the food was on the better side of okay but not amazing.
